Big Family of Michigan is an organization in SE Michigan helping to make life better for children waiting to be adopted, or in at-risk situations.  One of their programs ensures that in need children are given toys for the holidays.  Over 6,000 toys will be given out this holiday season and Michigan Surgery Specialists (MSS) and Oakland Regional Hospital have volunteered to help Big Family reach their goal.  Guests may visit Big FamilyofMichigan.org for more information on their many programs.

 

MSS office locations and Oakland Regional Hospital are hosting a toy drive that is open to the public and their employees.  Residents are asked to drop off new, unwrapped toys or Target Gift Cards for children – from infants to 18 years of age. 

 

The medical group will also host an internal employee contest to raise funds to purchase toys, purchase holiday poinsettias with proceeds benefiting Big Family, host a toy wrapping party and employee volunteers will support Big Family initiatives over the holidays.

           

Holiday Toy Drive:  November 19 – December 4

            Donate new, unwrapped toys for children aged infant—18 years.

            Toys will be distributed to children in the foster care system and in our neighborhoods.

            Target Gift Cards are welcome and teenage electronics.

            Toy guns are not appropriate.

            Stuffed animals are not needed at this time
