Our Radiology Department                

The radiology department at Oakland Regional Hospital specializes in high-end imaging, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), MRI arthrography and radiography (x-ray). We utilize 1.5 Tesla MRI units, and employ highly experienced technologists.

Our goals are to provide the highest quality scans and interpretations, while maintaining efficiency, availability and patient comfort. In the near future, we plan on adding a multi slice computed tomography (CT) unit to our department.

We are here to help you acquire outstanding imaging, with excellent service and patient satisfaction.

Due to the increased recognition of the clinical application of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) Oakland Regional Hospital is expanding the availability of these services to the departments of Orthopedics, Rheumatology, Plastic Surgery, and Internal Medicine.

MSKUS is a dynamic noninvasive exam that allows high-resolution, real-time evaluation of musculoskeletal disorders. It is often an excellent complement to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and are liable modality for diagnosing musculoskeletal disorders related to traumatic injury or degeneration for patients that can not under go MRI.

High resolution MSKUS can also supplement MRI. Non-invasive and dynamic imaging is beneficial when range of motion is lost due to acute injury to major tendons, in pain management and urgent care
